What You Will Do:
- Set up and assemble parts.
- Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools.
- Read and operate per written instructions, work order, and drawings with guidance from manufacturing engineering.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and production coordinators.
- Ensure creation of parts meet customer deadlines and expectations.
- Comply with applicable elements of quality systems and ensuring quality product standards are met with no defects.
- Participate in audits/cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events as required.
- Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
- Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in clean and orderly condition.
- Communicate potential mechanical and safety problems effectively and immediately.
- Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
- Handle moderate amounts chemicals and energetics in accordance with safety regulations, while maintaining exact inventory.
- Identify, control, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste including solvents, energetics, and lead.
- Cleanup of various machines, tooling, and areas from chemicals and propellants.
- In-plant transportation, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Complete documentation of work (i.e. marriage log, data sheet, etc.) without oversight.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. GED in the US), OR vocational/technical education in related discipline.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Chemical / Energetic materials processing, manufacturing, and/or assembly experience a plus.
