Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00p.m. – 7:30a.m., Monday–Thursday)
Position Type: Onsite – this role requires working on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of production machines, including washers, shot peening (GASP), furnaces, water & air flow units, electrode assembly, laser weld, tack weld, laser ablation, tape & wax, x‑ray, bake, and detailers.
- Perform routine operations on the production line, producing blades and/or vanes while executing all quality checks.
- Read and interpret process sheets and gauges, deburr and clean parts, make minor offset changes, and change setups as required.
- Document information on check sheets, maintain dimensional data on run charts, and frequently use measuring devices to assess product acceptance based on blueprint specifications.
- Run all equipment in the work loop and produce product according to standard work procedures.
- Clock labor in Solumina, perform daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results.
- Keep equipment and work area clean (5S).
- Move around the machine line (approximately 90% of the time), bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and transporting product or equipment up to 10pounds.
- Carry out additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this position as needed to support department objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract).
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Associate degree and/or Advanced Manufacturing Certification desirable.
