Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Safety Leader for the Brunswick Cellulose facility in Brunswick, Georgia. This role provides technical leadership to advance process safety culture, ensure compliance, and drive risk reduction across operations, maintenance, engineering, and projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate with site and corporate leadership to integrate process safety into daily decisions and long-term strategy, leading through influence rather than direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, Operations, or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in process safety, process engineering, manufacturing operations, reliability, or related roles in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting or leading Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and programs.
• Experience with OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA RMP (40 CFR 68) requirements.
• Experience facilitating PHAs, MOC, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide process safety leadership focusing on risk reduction and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as site owner and coordinator for PSM systems and improvement efforts.
• Foster process safety ownership through coaching and leadership.
• Lead PHAs, revalidations, and other risk assessments.
• Develop and execute site risk reduction strategies for process safety performance.
• Lead MOC and PSSR processes.
