Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Safety Leader to drive the development and management of process safety programs at the Toledo, OR mill. You will supervise a Process Safety Engineer and lead risk assessments, PHAs, and safety reviews to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

You'll partner with corporate safety teams, shape short- and long-term safety objectives, and provide technical direction on process safety incidents, training, and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a PSM regulated environment with process safety assets.
• Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.119 and 40 CFR 68 (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Process Safety Engineer and strengthen site process safety ownership.
• Ensure mill process safety systems reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Lead risk assessments and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA).
• Coordinate with corporate process safety and IT groups on training, tools, policies.
• Develop short- and long-term process safety objectives and measures.
• Provide analysis of incidents and near misses and guide corrective actions.
• Review equipment design specifications and operating procedures.
• Support MOC, PSSR, and other safety reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotation (roughly every 8 weeks).
