Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator/ Safety Specialist for our Brunswick, Georgia, Cellulose facility to manage and continually improve the mill's emergency response program and fire protection systems.

The role partners with Operations Excellence to align health and safety management systems and reports to the site Safety Manager. Strong OSHA compliance experience is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, emergency management, fire science, or related field, or 5+ years in emergency response, fire protection, or industrial safety.
• Experience supporting emergency response, fire protection, or safety programs in heavy manufacturing or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience with OSHA compliance programs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and improve site emergency response plans; coordinate drills, exercises, and follow-up actions with internal teams and external partners.
• Manage readiness, inspection, testing, and maintenance of on-site fire suppression systems and emergency response equipment.
• Coordinate emergency response team readiness, equipment servicing, qualification records, certification renewals, and required training.
• Partner with the site training team to deliver emergency response training per applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Fulfill the site's designated emergency response responsibilities and document corrective actions in the internal action-tracking system.
• Plan and manage emergency response and fire-protection expenditures aligned with mill maintenance budgets and priorities.
• Provide subject-matter expertise during Learning Events and represent the Brunswick Mill with the local emergency planning committee.
