Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in El Paso, TX is hiring a Process Safety Specialist to administer High Hazard and PSM programs at the site. You will lead PHA/HAZOP studies, ensure OSHA PSM compliance, and oversee safety reviews for process changes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or Safety and Health and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience with hazardous substances, plus PSM audits and risk mitigation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with hazardous substances.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and oversee High Hazard/PSM programs including PHA/HAZOP.
• Track and report leading and lagging KPIs for High Hazard/PSM.
• Conduct technical reviews of process changes, capital projects and equipment mods.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) on existing and new processes.
• Provide mentoring and training for site personnel on safety processes.
