Job summary

Specialty Resins in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead PHA/LOPA, risk assessments, and MOC activities within a complex chemical manufacturing setting. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leadership to strengthen process safety systems and improve reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years in an industrial plant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years in an industrial chemical plant environment.
  • Experience in Process Safety Management, Process Engineering, Production/Asset Integrity.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and NFPA standards.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate PHA/LOPA, risk assessments, and Management of Change activities.
  • Serve as SME for Process Safety Management systems across plant operations.
  • Collaborate with site leadership, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to identify hazards and reduce risk.
  • Lead PSM self‑assessments and support audits (internal/ external).
  • Develop and maintain PSM policies, procedures, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Support Asset Integrity and Reliability programs, including criticality assessments and maintenance strategies.
  • Review process safety events, deviations, and corrective actions; manage safety documentation.
