Job summary

Specialty Resins in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead PHA/LOPA, risk assessments, and MOC activities within a complex chemical manufacturing setting. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and site leadership to strengthen process safety systems and improve reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years in an industrial plant.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
3–5 years in an industrial chemical plant environment.
Experience in Process Safety Management, Process Engineering, Production/Asset Integrity.
Knowledge of ASME, API, and NFPA standards.
Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate PHA/LOPA, risk assessments, and Management of Change activities.
Serve as SME for Process Safety Management systems across plant operations.
Collaborate with site leadership, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to identify hazards and reduce risk.
Lead PSM self‑assessments and support audits (internal/ external).
Develop and maintain PSM policies, procedures, metrics, and KPIs.
Support Asset Integrity and Reliability programs, including criticality assessments and maintenance strategies.
Review process safety events, deviations, and corrective actions; manage safety documentation.
