Job summary

BD is seeking a Process Safety Specialist for the El Paso, TX site. You will administer High Hazard and PSM programs, lead PHA/HAZOP studies for current and future processes, and ensure OSHA PSM compliance across site operations.

You will mentor teams, track safety KPIs, coordinate maintenance and change management, and participate in audits and regulatory inspections to sustain a strong safety culture at the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with hazardous substances.
• Experience in PSM environments and process safety audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee Process Safety Management programs for High Hazard operations.
• Track KPIs and engage site leaders on safety matters to ensure a strong safety culture.
• Lead PHA/HAZOP analyses for existing and new processes and changes.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis investigations for incidents and near misses.
• Provide oversight for MOC, PSSR, and regulatory inspections.
