Job summary

Buckeye Partners L.P. seeks a Senior Specialist, Process Safety to implement PSM programs for Engineering and Construction and domestic pipelines/terminals. Location is flexible among Buckeye assets, with Houston, TX as a preferred site.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or Health & Safety and 3–10 years in petrochemicals, plus hands-on use of Apollo PHA, HAZOP/HAZID and MOC. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Health & Safety or advanced degree.
• 3–10 years in Petrochemical/oil and gas with risk assessment and hazard management.
• Experience with Apollo PHA, HAZOP, HAZID or similar tools.
• Travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• AWS: Asset Maintenance Plan development with operations and E&C groups.
• Identify, assess and document HSSE risk reduction strategies.
• Plan and lead PSM activities: HAZOP, PHA, MOC, siting studies.
• Support process development and inspections across sites.
• Train staff on changing procedures and ensure compliance.
• Audit and enforce adherence to procedures.
