Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems at our Ohio-site.

You will size components, prepare drawings and specs, and perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and basic stress analyses under senior engineers’ guidance. The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (or related field) and at least two years’ experience with piping or process equipment, with familiarity with ASME codes and safety practices; a Q security clearance is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; equivalent education/experience.
At least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
Experience with equipment sizing; familiarity with calculations, pipe-stress concepts, codes and safety practices.
Must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical components.
Prepare and update technical drawings and specifications.
Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and basic stress analyses.
Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting under senior engineers’ guidance.
