Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. seeks a mechanical piping engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems, size components, and prepare drawings and specs.

You will perform calculations and safety checks, support procurement and vendor evaluations, and assist with factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with at least two years of hands-on piping experience; drafting or analysis tools

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; +2 years piping/ fluid systems experience.
• Experience with equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, and safety practices.
• Beneficial drafting or analysis tool experience; ability to obtain/maintain Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems.
• Size mechanical components and prepare drawings, plans, specs.
• Perform engineering calculations and safety checks.
• Support procurement and vendor evaluations; assist with FAT and field inspections.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
