Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on manufacturing professional in Arkadelphia to operate and monitor specialized production equipment, robots and PLCs. You will train peers, document work-order times in Mobysis, and uphold safety in a noisy plant while ensuring timely production and quality objectives.

The role requires knowledge of Arkadelphia Battery Case processes, execution of operation plans, and ability to interpret multiple instruction types.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; or one-year related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
  • Operational knowledge using robotic or other advanced mechanical processes
  • Ability to work independently and at a self-paced rate to meet production demands
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions effectively
  • Ability to use measuring devices including rulers, tape measures, scales, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Ability to comprehend US and Metric measurement scales
  • Ability to operate and monitor specialized equipment, robotics, programmable controllers, hoists, lifts, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to use hand tools including scissors, knives, snips, pliers, mallets/hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, decision-making, people, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator
  • Forklift Operator License and Hazardous Material Handling are a plus
  • OSHA 30 Certification is a plus
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, high-temperature equipment, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, electrical shock risks, heat, and dangerous chemicals

  • Perform work cell component production and ensure pre-shipment packaging requirements are met
  • Interpret and execute operation plans, task procedures, work orders, supplementary instructions, specifications, SDS, and safety rules
  • Coordinate operations or task areas to meet cycle-time requirements
  • Prepare, set up, operate, load, unload, and monitor specialized production equipment
  • Monitor digital programmable controllers, robotics, hoists, lifts, and hydraulic and pneumatic apparatuses
  • Enter work-order times into Mobysis
  • Train coworkers on necessary tasks and quality objectives
  • Use hand tools to perform production tasks
  • Maintain required work performance and safety measures in a noisy plant environment
