Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Production Assembly Operator to perform routine assembly on structural and mechanical components onsite in Smithfield, PA. The role requires following established procedures and applying detailed knowledge of assembly processes and drawings.

The candidate should read engineering drawings, work with tools, and participate in supplier/material evaluations while complying with safety and export-control requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • 1 or more years of experience working with specialized tools (preferred).
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities data, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data (preferred).
  • Ability to differentiate production/manufacturing processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements (preferred).
  • Knowledge of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and process evaluation and qualification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of FOD prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, and ESD (preferred).
  • Ability to work any shift as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Must live in the immediate area or relocate at own expense

  • Work 100% onsite at one of the listed location options

  • Participate in evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and processes to ensure conformance and reproducibility requirements are met

  • Work assigned shifts, including Shift 2
