Jobtailor in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Production Operator to run 3 fertilizer coating lines, manage from raw materials to packaging, and lead coating and blending operations.

You will work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 24x6 schedule, with occasional overtime, perform tasks safely with PPE, troubleshoot processes, and coordinate with available resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a related environment preferred.
• Willing to work 12-hour day and night shifts, with overtime, weekends, and shift coverage as needed.
• Capable of leading coating and blending operations to ensure they run as intended.
• Demonstrated ability to safely perform tasks with quality and promote continuous improvements.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to North Charleston, SC and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job description

• Operate as the production operator across 3 fertilizer coating lines
• Operate processes from raw material through packaging and warehousing
• Serve as production leader to ensure coating and blending operations function as intended
• Safely perform project tasks with quality
• Troubleshoot complex production environments
• Coordinate and plan with available resources
• Work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 24 x 6 production schedule
• Provide occasional overtime, weekend, and holiday coverage as necessary
• Wear task- and environment-appropriate PPE

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry
• Willing and able to work 12 hour day and night shifts including occasional overtime, weekends, and provide shift coverage as necessary
• Capable of serving as the production leader to ensure all coating and blending are operating as intended
• Demonstrated ability to safely perform all project tasks with quality
• Understanding and ability to promote continuous improvements
• Fast learner of complex production environments with the ability to troubleshoot
• Proven ability to multi-task while staying productive, adaptive, and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively coordinate and plan with available resources
• Must reside within a commutable distance to North Charleston, SC
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must not require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future
• Ability to regularly move and/or lift up to 60 lbs
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet
