Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to design piping systems and oversee construction for a range of industrial projects for municipal clients, locally and worldwide.

You’ll lead CAD coordination, evaluate equipment and piping materials, develop P&IDs, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. A PE license and a Mechanical Engineering degree are required, along with experience with codes and remote staff management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Active professional engineer (PE) license
• Experience with Industrial and National Building Codes
• Capable of working in a team environment, including giving and receiving critical feedback
• Strong and effective verbal and written communications skills
• Successful experience with remote domestic and international staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Design piping pumping systems and oversee construction for diverse clients
• Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves
• Develop facility layouts, calculations, P&IDs and construction documents
• Coordinate with other disciplines and direct the work of CAD technicians
• Serve as the technical liaison between the project owner and design team
• Lead a team delivering major projects in the Western United States and beyond
