Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Process Mechanical Engineer to design piping and pumping systems for water and wastewater projects, providing construction oversight to diverse clients. You will evaluate equipment, contribute to facility layouts, and prepare calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents while coordinating with multi-discipline teams.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, strong knowledge of codes, and a track record of leading CAD staff and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university/college.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience with Industrial and National Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Design piping and pumping systems for water and wastewater projects.
• Provide construction oversight for diverse industrial clients and projects.
• Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves.
• Assist with facility layouts and develop calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with other project disciplines and direct CAD technicians.
• Lead with strong leadership skills to deliver projects in the Western US and beyond.
