Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist for the Corporate Engineering Laboratory in Easton, PA. You will drive Lean-based improvements, standardize ELWIs, and coordinate audits while supporting OTD and Quality goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in Engineering preferred.
  • 5 years of industrial, lab, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to maintain records and logs; proficient with charting/graphing software.
  • Capable of following verbal and written instructions; perform all lab functions.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Establish best practices by documenting Engineering Lab Work Instructions (ELWIs).
  • Maintain lab operations manuals, master training database, and FEM records.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects in Lean disciplines and safety initiatives.
  • Serve as Lean subject matter expert across Awareness, Baseline, SWF, SUR, TPM, Poka-Yoke, and Kanban.
  • Schedule lean events with Lab Manager; establish metrics to support OTD, efficiency, and quality.
  • Conduct 5S audits and monthly FEM reporting; prepare QIP worksheets and report-outs.
  • Coordinate for UL DAP audit preparations; perform hands-on lab testing as needed.
  • Log and estimate hours using Liquid Planner for communication and tracking.

In this role, you’ll drive process improvement across our R&D Engineering Lab – standardizing work instructions, capturing data through test templates, improving data integration, and applying Lean skill sets to eliminate bottlenecks that impact On Time Delivery (OTD) to our customers. You’ll work closely with the Lab Manager and Technical Leads to build schedules, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives that support our yearly R&D goals.
