Job summary

Walmart in Belvidere, IL is seeking a seasoned Process Improvement professional to lead and drive optimization across the distribution center. You will own critical initiatives, reduce losses, and standardize best-in-class ways of working using the Walmart Performance System (WPS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Quality or Process Improvement, or 5+ years in Quality or Process Improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement efforts for your functional area using tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses.
• Analyze KPIs, drive loss elimination activities, and create standard work to reduce process variation.
• Manage top-loss projects, identify savings opportunities, lead projects to remove waste, and support WPS integration via gap analysis and performance metric reviews.
• Apply network One Best Way playbooks, provide feedback to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideas and replication opportunities, and assist area managers with improvement projects.
• Support department and area managers with WPS programs, associate engagement, KPI improvement, and tactical deployment of WPS methodologies.
• Coordinate and oversee activities with stakeholders, monitor progress toward goals, identify improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing excellence.
