Job summary

You will lead projects to improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and EHS. The internship emphasizes hands-on production experience with opportunities to present results to site leadership and gain

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Rising junior or senior in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
• Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with maintenance and reliability projects, including preventive maintenance optimization, asset management, and critical spare parts strategies.
• Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive sustainable operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, equipment drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Lead cross-functional projects across operations, maintenance, quality, and safety, presenting recommendations and results to site leadership.
• Implement continuous improvement tools to drive best practices within the Houston facility.
