Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for our Houston, TX facility.

You will support manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives while leading projects that improve reliability and efficiency. You will work with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and deliver sustainable improvements that support plant performance and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Rising junior or senior standing in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
• Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with maintenance and reliability projects, including preventive maintenance optimization, asset management, and critical spare parts strategies.
• Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive sustainable operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, equipment drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Lead cross‑functional projects across operations, maintenance, quality, and safety, presenting recommendations and results to site leadership.
• Implement continuous improvement tools to drive best practices within the Houston facility.
