Job summary

H.B. Fuller is offering a Process Engineering Intern position in Houston, TX.

The 12-week paid program runs from late May to mid-August and provides hands-on experience in a production environment, with opportunities to lead projects that improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. Interns collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS teams, and present final results to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Rising junior or senior standing in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
• Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with maintenance and reliability projects, including preventive maintenance optimization, asset management, and critical spare parts strategies.
• Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive sustainable operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, equipment drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Lead cross-functional projects across operations, maintenance, quality, and safety, presenting recommendations and results to site leadership.
• Implement continuous improvement tools to drive best practices within the Houston facility.
