Job summary

Jobot in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Process Engineer to join our growing team. You will own the plant's primary processes, design and execute DOE studies, and drive yield improvements while applying LEAN and Operational Excellence tools.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Chemical Engineering or related field, 5 years of operations or engineering experience in plastics, and proven data-driven problem solving. This is a first shift role with excellent benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Physical Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of operations or engineering experience, plastics preferred.
• Operational Excellence training or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the plant’s primary processes
• Plan, design, and execute empirical Design of Experiments to ensure repeatability
• Optimize process performance using Operational Excellence and LEAN tools
• Drive process improvement, root cause analysis and troubleshooting through data
• Define and achieve goals related to yield improvement, labor optimization and product quality
• Evaluate and recommend improvements including cycle optimizations with operators and leadership
• Plan and execute trials to reduce waste and variation
• Lead projects using standard project management tools
• Ensure compliance to ISO/IMS and OPEX policies
