Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Kohler, WI, owning the plant's primary processes and driving DoE-based improvements. You will apply Lean and Operational Excellence methods to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

This role emphasizes data-driven problem solving and hands-on implementation. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering or Physical Sciences, with five years of ops/engineering experience (plastics preferred), and strong

Qualifications

• Experience with process trials and DOE design
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels and train staff

Responsibilities

• Own the plant's primary processes and drive optimization
• Plan, design, and execute empirical DoE studies for repeatability
• Improve process performance using Lean and Operational Excellence tools
• Analyze data to improve yield, labor utilization, setup times, and product quality
• Define goals and projects for yield improvement and cost reduction
• Collaborate with operators and leadership to evaluate improvements
• Plan and execute trials to reduce waste and variance
• Recommend process changes based on evaluations
• Contribute to customer complaint resolution through root cause analysis
• Engage with customers and reps to boost satisfaction
• Train staff on key engineering topics as needed
• Lead projects using standard project management tools
