Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. seeks a Production Engineer I to optimize manufacturing processes, improve quality, and drive continuous improvement. 1–3 years of plant experience preferred; you will work with cross-functional teams to meet safety, cost, and schedule goals.

You will monitor line performance, conduct root cause analysis, support new product introductions, develop SOPs, and participate in Kaizen events to sustain high performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or plant environment (internships and co-ops included).
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on aptitude in a production setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and concepts (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly and concisely. Experienced with JMP, Minitab is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CAD or production management systems is a plus.
• Able to properly and regularly utilize PPE for up to 12 hours
• Lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds on occasion; sit/stand for lengthy periods; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production line performance to identify opportunities for improvement in throughput, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct or assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support the introduction of new products or equipment into the production line, including trials and validation.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and support kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth and safe production operations.
• Gather and analyze production data to support decision-making and report KPIs.
• Support training efforts for operators and technicians on new processes or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
