Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Shelbyville, Kentucky, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide daily engineering support for manufacturing operations, resolve schedule issues, and improve overall efficiency across milling, heat treat, welding, and packaging processes.

You will lead improvement projects, support capital upgrades, collaborate with R&D and suppliers, and ensure safety and quality systems compliance. Travel is occasional, with a strong focus on data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with automation, robotics, or vision systems.
• Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean, and ISO9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations to resolve schedule attainment issues and improve efficiency.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance cost, quality, service, throughput, and yield.
• Support safety and risk assessments, equipment upgrades, and new product launches.
• Plan and execute process trials with cross-functional teams and document findings.
