Job summary

Olin is seeking a Process Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) in Independence, MO. The role involves supporting operations, maintenance, and safety teams to drive manufacturing excellence, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement in ammunition production.

You will lead multiple hands-on projects, assist in policy development for maintenance, and help implement process improvements while handling data for fast-paced production environments. ITAR vetting and U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergrad Industrial/Mechanical/Metallurgical engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale; transcript required each term.
• Experience with ammunition/ firearms industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead at least three hands-on projects during the rotation.
• Support maintenance with preventative/predictive maintenance policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in small-caliber ammunition production.
• Collect and communicate data to support engineering projects.
