Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Independence, MO. The role supports operations, maintenance and safety teams, focusing on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement within small caliber ammunition production.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Chemical or Civil Engineering degree program.
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times.
• Sophomore year completed (60 credit hours) prior to first rotation.
• Access to ITAR controlled data will be required and employment contingent upon export license.
• U.S. citizen required for Independence location; Winchester/TBD sponsorship not provided.

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the rotation.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements in ammunition production.
