Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors, based in Greenville, SC, seeks a junior process engineer to support complete design of basic chemical/process engineering assignments under supervision. You will help develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs while ensuring alignment with project specs and safety standards.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, check calculations, and assist with drafting for drawings and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Biochemical/Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial process design experience.
• EIT registration is strongly preferred; PE/CPIP preferred upon eligibility.
• Fundamental knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and related software.
• Familiarity with process safety concepts and design practices.
• Proficiency with process simulation and hydraulic analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of basic process engineering tasks under supervision.
• Assist in developing conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Support in producing preliminary and detail designs for construction.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes.
• Collaborate with drafting and other disciplines to ensure smooth information flow.
• Travel for on-site work, meetings, or training when required.
