Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Process Engineer – Level 4 to join our Space Sector team in Clearfield, UT / Salt Lake City, UT. The role partners with design engineering, production and cross-functional teams to improve processes, safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, and to present solutions to leadership and review boards.

The position follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. The successful candidate will analyze production data, maintain MBOM, and drive corrective

Qualifications

• 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving manufacturing processes
• Maintains manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM)
• Performing cause and corrective action activities to eliminate defects
• Troubleshoots production/tooling/facility issues and implements improvements
• Analyzes processing data to highlight trends and implement corrective actions
• Coordinating with Design Engineering on manufacturability issues
• Coordinating with production on day-to-day activities and issue resolution
• Preparing and presenting technical presentations to leadership and customers
