Job summary

MacLean Power Systems, headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, seeks a Plant Quality and Process Engineer to apply engineering techniques, data analysis and troubleshooting for manufacturing improvements. You will work with design, product management and production to reduce risks and enhance quality.

You will develop PFMEAs, Control Plans and auditing processes, and lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with ISO/IATF management systems and 5S practices.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical/Mechanical or related field and 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with rubber chemistry, extrusion or molding is preferred
  • Experience with AIAG tools such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC and MSA
  • Certified Internal Auditor in ISO or IATF management systems preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office, data analysis software and QMS documentation

Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate process, quality and safety risks with cross-functional teams
  • Support manufacturing processes in rubber-related areas
  • Recommend efficient, cost-effective equipment and processes
  • Audit production processes and suppliers to meet quality standards
  • Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans and auditing processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Train personnel on equipment usage and processes
  • Maintain process maps and quality documentation
  • Follow 5S and safety/quality policies
  • Perform additional duties as required
