Job summary

MacLean Power Systems is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to oversee processes, systems, and production for compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. The role focuses on eQMS management, risk mitigation, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or 2–5 years in manufacturing quality, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and quality tooling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 2–5 years of manufacturing/quality environment experience.
  • Certified Quality Auditor preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO quality systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Proficiency with MS Office and eQMS tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Audit production processes, materials, and suppliers to ensure quality standards.
  • Manage programs and people without direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain the eQMS.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for process defects and drive corrective actions.

Job Summary

Quality Systems Engineer is a motivated individual with a passion for standards and compliance. They will oversee processes, systems, and production to ensure smooth workflow and industry compliance.

Job Duties
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management and production, to identify and mitigate any risks.
  • Audit production processes, raw materials or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met
  • Comfortable managing programs and people without direct reports.
  • Serve as a subject matter for onsite Quality Management System and ensures compliance with formal external quality standards, such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
  • eQMS Management. (Basic scripting and administrative requirements)

Internal Audit Completion and Management

Document Control System Management

Conduct root cause analyses for process failures, product defects, non-conformities or other failures.

Issue all Corrective Actions/Preventative Actions and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are observed.

Monitor Customer Feedback and follow up with the appropriate department for disposition.

  • KPI/Data management
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
  • Perform work under indirect supervision
  • Certified Quality Auditor Preferred
  • Possess working knowledge of ISO Systems. (Required: 9001, Preferred: 14001, 45001)
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree or 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Competencies/Skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of business
  • Technical Windows expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/Research skills
  • Problem-solving skills
