Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC is seeking an engineering professional to improve and develop systems and equipment for core manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor shopfloor personnel, lead cross‑functional process improvements, apply Six Sigma/RCM concepts, and help manage budgets for performance improvements across OFP sites while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 1 year experience (preferred).
• Associate’s degree in engineering with 2 years experience.
• High School Diploma with 4 years engineering experience.
• Three years engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs, RCA, and RCm a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor peers and shopfloor personnel.
• Support technical development of shopfloor personnel.
• Employ advanced lean tools within problem solving, project & change management.
• Lead cross-functional process improvements.
• Develop plans to improve performance of a process or set of systems using green belt concepts.
• Develop & manage project budgets for improvements.
• Support event response activities.
• Share knowledge across OFP sites for improvement projects.
• Maintain & establish standards for procedures & maintenance plans.
• Support global OFP collaboration initiatives.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements in duties.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.
