Job summary

Novo Nordisk in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support and optimize process control systems in a manufacturing setting. You will work with stakeholders and vendors to ensure equipment and processes meet local and global standards, driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL, and Historian, with Six Sigma and Lean experience to deliver results and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Five years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility &/or packaging systems (or equivalent).
• Three years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility &/or packaging systems.
• Knowledgeable in SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL, Historian; SAP EWM a plus.
• Ability to translate high level direction into actionable tasks using cLEAN®/Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
• Coordinate plans with manufacturing schedules.
• Serve as automation resource on projects involving process control.
• Adhere to automation standards and update maintenance plans.
• Support audits and inspections of process control systems.
• Apply cLEAN® and Six Sigma techniques to drive improvements.
• Develop SOPs and maintenance procedures.
