Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC seeks an engineer to manage and improve process control systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to align equipment and processes with local and global standards, acting as the gatekeeper for automation specifications and maintenance planning.

The role requires 3+ years in process-based manufacturing, with expertise in SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES and related databases. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• May consider alternatives with years of experience as listed.
• 3+ years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing schedules to execute plans.
• Serve as automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
• Follow automation standards and update related specifications and maintenance plans.
• Support audits and inspections for process control systems.
• Apply cLEAN/Six Sigma tools for process improvement and project management.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Mindset and risk management.
• Assist in change management and SOP development.
