Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Belcamp, MD is seeking a Process Engineer to advance our manufacturing processes, improve safety, quality, and productivity. You will study processes, troubleshoot, optimize, and analyze historical data to monitor key operating parameters and support production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or food engineering is required.
• Experience in process/production engineering with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity, stay organized and deliver results with urgency.
• Strong project management capability, multitasking and time management.
• Team‑oriented leader who can collaborate across levels and mentor hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations via process studies, troubleshooting, optimization and data analysis.
• Partner with plant safety, staff, and JHSC to support safety initiatives and safer work processes.
• Maintain and analyze historical performance data to track efficiencies vs design and support cost/production goals.
• Lead or support capital and process projects, managing scope, budget, schedule; coordinate across departments.
• Ensure documentation, drawings, SOPs, and standards are produced, validated and maintained.
• Lead RCA and drive corrective actions, communicating findings to management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, Lean Six Sigma) and training needs assessment.
