Job summary

DAP, a market leading home repair and construction products manufacturer, seeks a Process Engineer for the Baltimore Plant. You will support raw materials, compounding, production and packaging to enhance safety and efficiency, lead CI projects, and oversee capital improvements, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, Six Sigma/lean experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required.
• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process.
• Ability to read and interpret process drawings (P&IDs).
• PLC with ladder logic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production, and packaging to improve safety and support MS 168 continuous improvement.
• Support daily production needs through process troubleshooting and experimentation.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost and variability and update drawings and SOPs accordingly.
• Coordinate capital projects with the plant engineer and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Maintain safety goals and administer process hazard analyses (PHAs).
• Support the MS 168 tier meeting process with data collection and visual management systems.
• Assist with environmental program reporting, monitoring, and QA results to improve process engineering.
