Ingredion is seeking an Engineer Intern to support our South Sioux City manufacturing team. You will assist in leading engineering projects, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve technical challenges, and implement solutions that improve reliability and performance in a live manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience or exposure to manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with engineering software and CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to startup and close.
• Identify process improvements to boost productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
• Develop designs, specs, scopes of work, and documentation.
• Support equipment evaluations and root-cause investigations.
• Analyze data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Manage contractors and vendors to ensure safe, on-time completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and food safety practices.
• Participate in plant reliability and asset management initiatives.
• Present updates and results to plant leadership.
