Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for our Belcamp, MD manufacturing facility for Summer 2027. You will support projects focused on standardizing work, improving equipment reliability, and boosting operational performance.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality food ingredients. You will assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation, while updating SOPs and batch records.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in chemical/ mechanical engineering or related field.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing areas.
• Assist with engineering projects from concept through implementation, including data collection, analysis, testing and documentation.
• Update and maintain SOPs, batch records, equipment information and process workflows.
• Participate in plant continuous improvement programs (5S, visual management, RCA, standardization).
• Assist with operator training and deployment of process improvements on the manufacturing floor.
