Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. is seeking a Process Engineer to lead projects that improve manufacturing efficiency for specialty lubricants. You will evaluate processes, design improvements, and coordinate with quality, maintenance, and operations teams at the Huntington site.

The role requires a chemical or mechanical engineering degree, strong project management and troubleshooting abilities, and experience working with process equipment and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
• Understanding of engineering concepts and approaches.
• Previous project management experience and exceptional organizational.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to read and complete basic mathematical functions.
• Proven track record developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to troubleshoot process equipment including control systems.
• Experience working with and directing activities of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve manufacturing efficiency of our specialty lubricants/compounds.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research and applying engineering knowledge.
• Develop manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying and testing methods.
• Improve workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Assure product and process quality by designing/testing methods and evaluating capabilities.
• Provide decision-making information by estimating costs and future requirements.
• Review and implement new procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate with quality department to implement new products and procedures.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs for required equipment.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering to evaluate capital projects and contractor activities at Huntington site.
