Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• At least six months in a healthcare setting.
• Scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule and cancel all procedures.
• Contact area facility for available times for procedures.
• Educate patient on all aspects of the scheduled procedure.
• Schedule all pre-op clearance appointments with PCP or specialist.
• Coordinate paperwork needed to facility (order sets, H&Ps and imaging).
• Coordinate surgical representatives through HIPAA compliant channels.
• Work with physician to keep pre-operative and surgical protocols updated.
• Schedule initial follow-up appointments after procedures.
• Complete informed consents.
• Call in prescriptions according to MD protocol for procedure.
• Scans/sorts all documentation related to completion of duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
