Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to support a provider and ensure a smooth patient experience. The role involves clinical and administrative duties across scheduling, documentation, and patient education, with travel to other TOA sites as needed.

You will update EHR records, handle CPT/ICD-10 coding basics, verify insurance, and assist with procedures.

Qualifications

• Understanding CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with removal of splints, sutures and dressings as directed.
• Prepare and assist provider with procedures such as aspirations and injections.
• Update patient charts in the EHR with histories, exams and plans.
• Enter CPT/E&M codes and submit charges to the coding department.
• Inform patients with clear care plan instructions and educate on home exercises.
• Review charts for completeness and coordinate scheduling with physicians.
• Verify precertifications, insurance details, and manage scheduling with carriers.
