Job summary

Adams County Probation Services in Gettysburg, PA is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and management of the department’s training, onboarding, and professional development programs. The Coordinator works with the Chief Probation Officer and Directors to ensure staff possess the knowledge and competencies for high-quality probation services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; field in Criminal Justice/related preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in probation services and knowledge of courts, corrections, and law enforcement.
• Post-hire certification in Protective Safety Systems and Firearms required.
• Annual 40 hours of training per PCCD/JCJC requirements.
• Experience with EBPs and adult learning methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of JCJC, PCCD, PBPP, JJSES, BARJ, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage training, onboarding, and professional development programs.
• Oversee training compliance, certification and workforce development initiatives.
• Integrate EBPs and adult learning into curricula.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and support EBP skill development.
• Collaborate with leadership to align curricula with departmental priorities.
