Job summary

Montgomery County, PA is seeking a Technical Operations Coordinator to lead department application systems across Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, Pretrial Services, and Treatment Courts. You will coordinate development, support, and reporting using JCMS/PAJCIS and related tools in a County IT environment.

This grant-funded role requires strong communication, project management, and knowledge of criminal justice workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Knowledge of automated systems.
• Knowledge of computer languages.
• Knowledge of criminal justice system.
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Record keeping skills.
• Experience with SQL and Crystal Reports.

• Undergo a thorough pre-employment background investigation including drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities between all Supervision Services Departments in application development and maintenance.
• Ensure data systems are defined, accurate, efficient, and timely.
• Ensure compliance with County policies, and State and Federal legislation and standards.
• Provide technical assistance to departmental personnel for computer hardware and software used in the application environment.
• Maintain communication with Administration, all departments, Connectrex, CPCMS, JCPCMS, JCMS, JNET, PAJCIS, other vendors and ITS personnel.
• Fosters an environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all hardware and software technologies used in the department.
• Research and evaluate future and related software products that support the department and coordinate all software upgrades.
• Train and support department personnel in the use of computer software and applications.
• Develop and provide automated data reports to facilitate the management of the departments' workload and the quality control of its automated systems and provide research reports upon request.
• Demonstrate the ability to write, create, detail, and explain reports utilizing SQL and Crystal Reports.
• Complete16hoursofprofessional development training annually.
