Job summary

Lancaster County Government seeks a Probation/Parole Officer to supervise offenders on probation or parole. You will assess risk, interview individuals, and coordinate intervention services to support rehabilitation.

Reporting to Adult Probation and Parole Services, you will handle case documentation, court-related duties, and continuous training to stay proficient in safety and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to interview offenders and assess risk.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with service providers and court staff.

Responsibilities

• Interview offenders in various settings to monitor compliance and safety.
• Develop intervention plans to reduce reoffending and coordinate services.
• Prepare and maintain accurate case records and reports.
• Assist in court proceedings and ensure required documentation is available.
