Job summary

Lane County Community Justice & Rehabilitation Services is seeking Parole & Probation Officers to supervise adults on community supervision and support successful behavior change and community safety.

Officers manage caseloads, assess risk, monitor compliance, and coordinate with courts, law enforcement, and treatment providers while connecting individuals with housing, employment and behavioral health resources. A strong emphasis on judgment and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field.
• At least one year of experience in criminal justice, counseling, social services, or related field; one year in corrections or law enforcement (Officer 1).
• For Officer 2: Two years of experience; one year in corrections or law enforcement, plus Bachelor’s in related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise adults on community supervision and support behavior change.
• Assess risk and individual needs; monitor compliance with supervision conditions.
• Conduct office and community contacts; investigate violations and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with courts, law enforcement, treatment providers and community partners.
• Connect individuals with housing, employment, and behavioral health resources.
• Maintain sound judgment and effective communication in challenging situations.
