Job summary

Palmer District Court in Massachusetts is seeking a Probation Case Administrator I to perform entry-level probation case data entry, run queries in CARI, compile the daily trial list, and provide administrative support within the office. You will offer customer service to coworkers, lawyers, law enforcement, and the public, in person or by phone.

This union-position role starts at the 7S entry level, with potential advancement within the salary band as permitted by the CBA/MOU.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• One year of related work experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Learn CARI system and data entry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide front counter customer service.
• Enter and update restraining orders.
• Process mail and filings; organize court documents.
• Assist attorneys, litigants, and law enforcement; respond to information requests.
• Retrieve criminal records and update records in automated systems.
• Support Probation Officers with case closures and document maintenance.
