Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Tasks include diagnosing defects, completing work orders, and preparing units for leasing, with inventory control and documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities cover preventative maintenance, make-ready activities, material handling, and upkeep of exterior areas.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance tasks on multi-unit residential properties.
• Ability to diagnose defects and perform repairs per policy and code.
• Ability to complete preventative maintenance and make-ready tasks.
• Maintains documentation for service requests and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspecting, patching, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are done.
• Follows procedures to source materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes timely and accurate paperwork so service requests are documented and tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and debris removal as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing where feasible and by using materials efficiently.
