Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose, repair, and complete work orders, manage make-ready tasks, and support cost-control efforts while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory tracking, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in property maintenance or related trades.
• May require HVAC certifications and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing via make-ready and pre-move-out inspections.
• Track inventory and coordinate materials with maintenance supervisor.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning and minor repairs.
• Aim to fix rather than replace where feasible to control costs.
• Attend safety meetings and comply with OSHA and safety regulations.
• May inspect contractor work for quality and compliance.
• Report safety concerns and property needs to management.
