Westlake Chemical is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to aid in implementing safety initiatives, training, auditing, and technical support across facilities. The role involves incident prevention, hazard assessments, and collaboration with plant management to uphold safety standards and compliance.

You will train hourly, salary, and management personnel, review process changes for safety impact, and help develop Safety Performance Improvement Plans.

Formación

• BS Degree in Business, Environmental or Safety Management or related field.
• Knowledgeable in Federal, State, fire safety standards and workers' compensation laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop training and train employees on safety subjects.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Support incident prevention and OSHA compliance programs.
• Audit facilities for conformance to safety policies.
• Assist in Accident Prevention Plan implementation.
• Conduct hazard assessments and follow up with solutions.
• Lead projects to achieve department and business goals.
• Support plant safety actions from root-cause analysis.
• Communicate with plant management to develop safety culture.
