Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a Safety professional to support safety initiatives across its facilities. The role involves training, coaching, auditing and providing technical support to implement programs that protect employees and assets.

The position requires hazard assessments, incident investigations, and developing action plans in line with OSHA and corporate policies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to foster a proactive safety culture at plants.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Business, Environmental, Safety Management or related field with at least 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, fire safety and ANSI standards; Workers' Compensation laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing incident prevention and OSHA compliance programs.
• Audit facilities for conformance to safety policies.
• Assist in Accident Prevention Plan and health/safety policies.
• Conduct hazard assessments and follow up on corrective actions.
• Train hourly, salary, and management personnel to elevate safety culture.
